I've found that I like to talk a little bit now and then about who I am and why. I've also found that one has to do more listening than talking when one actually has a conversation with another one. While that's a good thing, generally, I think that here I can actually keep the subject closer to what I want it to be. And that may be found to be not so good but that's what I want to try right now.
I'm thinking of all this self-definition in terms of my politics/philosophical outlook, my bike and what Rumsfeld called "unknown unknowns". I'm debating in my mind about including my family and that debate takes a couple of different directions, not the least of which is whether or not I have the moral right to include previously un-public stuff about people prior to their knowing I'm going to include it…especially family…most especially family.
It seems that I've missed the crest of the blog wave. Now everything's all Facebook and Twitter and stuff and that's good, I guess. I've never wanted to be seen as trying to keep up with the latest fad and, having seen the backside of that blog wave, my generating this as a blog seems to be in keeping with that sentiment. I did create a Facebook page but I find it somewhat distasteful for reasons that I'm still unclear about.
So there are the (presently) three things you can find here:
My thinking in terms of politics and how the world works (Words for Concepts),
How I look at my motorcycle and the things I do to it and how it fits into my life (Motocycleta) and
A bunch of, as yet, unknown stuff (Rumsfeldia).
Don't look at the Forum stuff just now…I'm still making this site work and there's lots I don't know about WikiDots yet and Forum stuff is part of that. My Contact info will come after I get this basic structure stuff working and I figure out how that structure is supposed to exist across time. Stick with me, Oh, Ye who ventures here and I promise, well, not much. But it may well be entertaining.
But, then again, maybe not.
